Communicate with Confidence

Business Capability Workshop

It is with great pleasure we announce a return of one of our favourite speakers - Laurie Sharp. He is joining us to talk about communication. Following is a little more about Laurie and what this Business Capability workshop will cover:

Starting in banking 40 years ago, my current role is Head of Coaching and Development at ASB.

My prime focus is on people development, leadership and professional (emotional/soft) skills. These range but are not limited to coaching and leadership, presentation and communication, negotiating, networking, changing business trends and business development.

I conduct seminars and workshops, 70% of which are to external clients, prospects or professionals as part of a programme of deepening relationships and increasing business development opportunities. The other part of my role is focussed on the development of our own people at ASB.

I work with a wide variety of clients such as The New Zealand Law Society, BDO, Deloitte, KPMG, Crowe Horwath, Coca Cola, Chambers of Commerce, and Mitre 10.

My wife Kathie and I have been married, for 41 years, and are kept busy with three adult children and six grandchildren.

Communicate with confidence…and be memorable

Will your audience remember what you said in a meeting or presentation? How many people take the action you were hoping for? We all communicate, but often our message doesn’t hit the mark. In this session we share six simple keys to effective communication that will give you confidence, and help you deliver a memorable message.

› Preparation is critical (presenting well is a differentiator in today’s business world)
› How to structure your presentation
› The power of body language and using your voice
› Visual impact (keeping audience interest)

Book early to avoid missing out.
