Through our business owners survey, we have received requests for a special interest group to be formed, to meet the specific needs of CEO’s and Managing Director’s.
In order to get the most out of these forums, we ask that all attendees meet these minimum requirements:
- Own or manage a $10 million plus business
- Manage or employ a minimum of 30 plus employees
We intend to host these events three to four times per year, and will bring together business leaders to discuss topics pertinent to this criteria.
Cyber security – it’s not just about compliance.
By taking care of cyber security – making sure the integrity of your company, customer and supplier data is secure, your business can develop new ways of communicating with their clients and suppliers, create new global markets confident in your international compliance. With a strong and secure data platform, you can use technology as a real enabler to business growth.
In 2017, cyber-crime cost the global economy US$3 trillion... and New Zealand is not immune. From over 100 ransomware attacks a day to phishing emails and fraudulent online activities, New Zealand business's reputations and finances have been seriously affected over the past year.
As it becomes clear that cyber-crime is no longer an IT issue, but something that boards and executives need to prepare and plan for, New Zealand businesses are grappling with how to approach and deal with these new risks.
Come and join Peter Bailey, General Manager of Aura Information Security for light refreshments and find out about global and local cyber security trends, how these are affecting New Zealand businesses, and most importantly, what your business should be doing to prepare for and prevent attacks.
This will be an opportunity to hear from an expert in the field, as well as ask any questions you might have about cyber security. Please feel free to invite your technology manager with you if you think this would be of value to your business.
