Kaku (formerly Glassy Zone) launched as a supplier in the New Zealand giftware market September 2007.

Initially releasing a distinctive range of large glass pieces at the Spring Gift Fair, Kaku followed with souvenirs in June 2008 and soon became leader in the glass souvenir market. They have maintained a dominance by introducing new products on a regular basis.

Since then, Kaku has become a major supplier to the New Zealand Christmas market by introducing a range including glass figurines, buddies and light-up ornaments.
