The Icehouse was founded in 2001 in recognition of the importance of the start-up and SME sector to the New Zealand economy. We empower SMEs to develop new skills, find solutions and positive outcomes through business learning, development and investment and we’re committed to helping to create a high-performing New Zealand economy where ideas and businesses thrive.

Our flagship programme is The Owner Manager Programme – designed specifically for owner-managers with 15+ employees and $3M+ in revenue – or with the goals of achieving this size in the near future. The programme has been operating since 2001 and to date has benefitted approximately 1000 business owners. It provides a formula for business growth through a combination of the best in academic teaching and practical learning to help nurture NZ businesses to make a significant economic impact.

Through the programme, businesses:
• Achieve a better awareness of what drives business growth, and learn how to analyse/fine-tune a business to solve problems
• Develop a business growth plan, implemented by leading business owners
• Establish a secure network of other successful owner managers, facilitators and business experts
