Between them, they represent more than 80,000 members.
The role of sponsors for any non-profit is crucial, and Alan Yates from Giltrap North Shore (which sponsors several community sports groups) gave a quick and informative introduction about the simple ways in which organisations can support their supporters:
- – Include sponsors’ names and logos on your website
- – Share updates from them in your e-newsletters and member news
- – Invite them to prizegiving events – and remember to publicly acknowledge them!
Then it was “under starter’s orders” and the speed dating got underway! The whistle blew every two-and-a-half minutes, so that everyone had the chance to work their way around the room and make those oh-so important connections.
