NZTA has advised that night works will occur between 8pm and 5am on Monday 7th September on Paul Matthews Road where a crew will excavate a pit. A temporary traffic management plan will be in place during this time as follows:
- Access from SH18/Upper Harbour Highway into Paul Matthews Road will be closed with detours in place
- Access from Paul Matthews Road to SH18/Upper Harbour Drive will be open, with Paul Matthews Road reduced to one lane
As part of the re-alignment and extension of an underground cable on Paul Matthews Road, identification of an underground cable on Paul Matthews Road needs to be undertaken. This work can only be undertaken at night as traffic volumes are too high to complete it during the day.
If this work is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances or weather, it will be carried out on the next available night.
