MSD EARLY RESPONSE TEAM

The Ministry of Social Development has a new team focused on assisting New Zealanders while they are working called The Early Response Team.

This team is a part of a new initiative set up to provide access to a range of services that employers and their employees can utilise with the assistance of our Early Response Team. We do this by getting out into our community – we can tailor support to meet employers and employees’ requirements and needs.

Below is a quick summary of the Retention service we offer:

Early Response – Retention Support:

This service utilises a proactive approach with employers, focusing on how MSD can be involved earlier to help support their employees with additional financial assistance. By being involved early, we aim to reduce the number of people falling into hardship, and those who may be struggling due to their financial commitments or working less hours due to personal reasons.
