Paid Parking at Cornwall Park, Greenlane

From 1st December 2026, paid parking will be introduced in selected parking areas of Cornwall Park and along Pūriri Drive to help manage increasing demand and improve parking availability for visitors.

Parking Charges

· First 2 hours: Free

· Weekdays: $5.00 per hour after the initial two free hours, capped at $35 per day

· Weekends and Public Holidays: $2.50 per hour after the initial two free hours, capped at $20 per day

Free Parking Options

More than 300 free all-day parking spaces will continue to be available on Grand Drive and Bollard Avenue.

Why the Change?

Cornwall Park receives approximately two million visits annually, and parking has become increasingly difficult to find during peak periods, weekends, and major events. The introduction of paid parking is intended to improve parking turnover, make spaces more readily available, and support ongoing park maintenance and preservation.

How It Will Work

The system will be ticketless, using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology to record vehicle entry and exit times. Visitors will be able to pay online or at parking machines located within the park.
