A first look at Auckland’s biggest transport project — what’s been built underground, what’s coming next, and how to stay informed.

Auckland’s City Rail Link (CRL) is firmly in the spotlight — although a confirmed opening date is still under wraps. With so much interest from our community about how CRL will reshape getting in and around the city, we’ve pulled together this first dedicated bulletin to keep you in the loop. Feel free to share it with anyone who might want to see how CRL could work for their commute and open up new journeys across Auckland.
Open Days planned ahead of the launch
Auckland Transport has confirmed a series of Open Days at selected stations in the lead-up to the CRL opening. The public opening will be on a Sunday, with the date announced 6–8 weeks in advance.
