Health and Wellbeing

If you have COVID-19 symptoms, call the COVID-19 Healthline on 0800 358 5453.

For any other health concerns, call the general Healthline number on 0800 611 116. All calls to Healthline are free and someone is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For support with anxiety, distress or mental wellbeing, call or text 1737 to talk with a trained counsellor for free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Business Advice

A free helpline service is available for all New Zealand businesses. It can offer you:

  • specific advice and access to Government business support
  • advice on what Level 3 means for your business
  • HR and general business advice and access to online resources and webinars
  • connections to business advisory services.

Assistance for foreign nationals in New Zealand 

Department of Internal Affairs and Red Cross are working together to support foreign nationals who need help with accommodation, power costs and access to food and essential supplies.

People on temporary visas and, in serious hardship, can apply by filling in an online formor by calling 0800 REDCROSS (0800 733 276)

Assistance for Food Banks supporting people impacted by COVID-19
