Kia ora,

We are excited to share the latest developments in the East Coast Bays Link Sewer Pipeline project, aimed at enhancing your local infrastructure and ensuring the efficient management of wastewater. This critical project involves the installation of an 800mm sewer rising main, which will significantly benefit the community.

 What has happened so far?

  • Windsor Park Open Trench Completion: We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the open trench installation in Windsor Park. This crucial phase of the project involved careful excavation and laying of the sewer pipeline, contributing to the overall progress.
  • Inline Valve Chamber in Windsor Park: An inline valve chamber has been constructed in Windsor Park. This chamber will play a vital role in controlling the flow of wastewater and ensuring proper maintenance of the sewer rising main.
  • Apollo Reserve Update: Progress continues at Apollo Reserve as we work diligently on the pipeline installation. This phase remains on track, and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during any temporary inconveniences caused by the construction.
  • Further Investigation Work: To ensure the long-term effectiveness of the sewer rising main and preparedness for the upcoming connections, additional investigation work has been undertaken. This includes thorough assessments of soil conditions and potential environmental impacts, allowing us to make informed decisions for the project’s success.

What can you expect to see in the coming weeks?

  • Open Trenching on Centurion Drive: In our pursuit of enhancing the sewer infrastructure, we will be embarking on open trenching activities along Centurion Drive. This work will impact traffic flow in the area and there may be temporary disruptions to driveway access to residents. Our team is committed to minimizing these inconveniences and will make every effort to ensure smooth access during this phase.

Continued Progress on Apollo Drive: the works on Apollo Drive are progressing steadily, with a focus on the shoulder area outside 32 Apollo Drive. We remain dedicated to completing this phase efficiently, while also addressing any concerns that may arise.
