What’s On Calendar

This event series aims to empower women to lead with heart, courgae and purpose. These events are held four times per year and offer a relaxed, friendly and social environment which is perfect for business networking.
Our guest speakers are always women who share their respective business journeys including their highs and lows, plus their key learnings and experiences.
Our Women in Business events are advertised within our e-newsletters, FYI magazine, website and across our social media platforms along with the dates being on our Events Calendar.

Our Learning Labs are designed to meet the diverse needs of our members. Business North Harbour will aim to:
- Provide a consolidated guide to current training options and providers.
- Provide workshops and/or seminars based on needs identified by members.
- Connect members with the appropriate expertise to deliver training specific to their business.
The value of these programmes are transferred to our members’ businesses as a way to add core training, knowledge and competency amongst their teams.

‘One Size Fits All’ does not apply to business. Recognising this, we offer specialist events and tailored information for a growing number of industry and special interest groups. This includes our Asian Business Collective, Not-For Profit Group, CEO Group and our Commercial Property Owners.
These events are promoted on our What's On Calendar.

Hato Hone | St John is one of New Zealand’s leading providers of first aid courses. Years of experience, a dedicated team of knowledgeable people and proven teaching systems make our courses engaging and highly effective.
Business North Harbour works alongside St John to host the following first-aid courses for the community:
- Mental Health First Aid – This course provides attendees with the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to someone experiencing mental health concerns. Attendees will learn how to understand and identify their own and others mental health, identify when a person may be experiencing a mental health crisis and gain the tools needed to build their own mental fitness.
- First On The Scene – This 2 hour course will show attendees how to deal with the five most common situations that they could encounter in the workplace. Attendees will learn how to perform adult CPR, airway management, basic fractures and broken bones and how to deal with life threatening bleeding and unconscious patients.

The BNH Business Excellence Awards aim to honour the remarkable achievements of our respected members of the BNH Business Improvement District, as we shine a spotlight on our dynamic and flourishing business community.
The bi-annual awards are a platform for businesses of all shapes and sizes, from fledgling start-ups to seasoned veterans, to reflect on their accomplishments and gain recognition for their hard work and dedication. Whether a business has been in the game for a mere 2 months or 22 years, this is a chance to showcase achievement and demonstrate our collective vision for a thriving and prosperous future for the North Harbour Business Improvement District (BID).
