Auckland Transport (AT) has now confirmed that construction of the long-awaited Rosedale Bus Station will begin in late July or early August 2026.
While the project will deliver significant long-term benefits for public transport users, it is expected to cause considerable disruption to traffic flow and local businesses during the construction period.
Business North Harbour (BNH) is working closely with Auckland Transport to arrange an in-person information session for businesses that may be affected by the project. This will provide an opportunity to hear directly from the project team, understand the construction programme, and ask questions about potential impacts.
We will confirm the date, time, and venue of this meeting as soon as details become available.

About the Project
The new Rosedale Bus Station will improve connections to the Northern Busway and local bus services on Rosedale Road, making it easier for people to travel to and from the area using public transport.
The station will also include:
- Bike parking facilities
- Mobility parking spaces
- Passenger drop-off and pick-up areas
The first stage of construction will include:
- The busway station building on the Northern Busway
- Retaining walls along Rosedale Road
- New lifts and stairs connecting Rosedale Road to the station
Auckland Transport expects this stage of the project to be completed in early 2028.
Future improvements, including cycleways, road widening, and intersection upgrades, are planned for a later stage, subject to funding availability.
