Help stop the spread

These cases are a reminder to us all to do our bit to stop the spread of COVID-19 and with so many of us heading away or catching up with friends and family over Labour Weekend it is even more important. You can do that by:

Keeping a record of where you have been. The easiest way to do that is to download the NZ COVID Tracer app to your phone to be able to scan the QR codes displayed at all businesses.

Continue good hygiene practices of washing your hands often and coughing or sneezing into your elbow.

If you are sick stay home, do not travel, and get a test if you have symptoms. Tests are free.

Maintaining social distancing.

While not mandatory in Alert Level 1 people are encouraged to wear a face coverings on all public transport and airplanes.

If you are a business owner – please ensure you are displaying QR codes in accessible locations and make it easy for all visitors and patrons to check in.

Information about Alert levels and resources can be found on the Unite Against COVID-19 website.
